Missed Opportunities
DATE: 05/20/2007 / MOOD: in love

Hello my friends, Missed Opportunities The story is told of a young man who wished to marry the farmer's beautiful daughter. He went to the farmer to ask his permission. The farmer looked him over and responded, "Son, go stand out in that field and I'm going to release three bulls, one at a time. If you can catch the tail of any one of the three bulls you can marry my daughter." The young man stood in the pasture awaiting the first bull. The barn door opened and out ran the biggest, meanest-looking bull he had ever seen. He decided that one of the next bulls had to be a better choice than this one, so he ran over to the side and let the bull pass through the pasture out the back gate. The barn door opened again. Unbelievable. He had never seen anything so big and fierce in his life. It stood pawing the ground, grunting, slinging slobber as it eyed him. Whatever the next bull was like, it had to be a better choice than this one. He ran to the fence and let the bull pass through the pasture out the back gate. The door opened a third time. A smile came across his face. This was the weakest, scrawniest little bull he had ever seen. This one was his bull. As the bull came running by, he positioned himself just right and jumped at just the exact moment. He grabbed... but the bull had no tail! "Continue praying, keeping alert, and always thanking God. Also pray for us that God will give us an opportunity to tell people His message." (Col. 4:2-3a) "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Many blessings

10 REASONS GOD CREATED EVE!
DATE: 05/20/2007 / MOOD: in love

10 REASONS GOD CREATED EVE! 10. God worried that Adam would always be lost in the garden because He knew men would never ask for directions. 9. God knew that Adam would one day need someone to hand him the TV remote because men don't want to see what is on TV; they want to see WHAT ELSE is on TV. 8. God knew that Adam would never buy a new fig leaf when the seat wore out and therefore would need Eve to get one for him. 7. God knew that Adam would never make a doctor's appt for himself. 6. God knew that Adam would never remember which night was garbage night. 5. God knew that if the world was to be populated there would have to someone to bear children because men would never be able to handle it. 4. As Keeper of the Garden Adam would never remember where he put his tools. 3. The Scripture account of creation indicates that Adam needed someone to blame his troubles on when God caught him hiding in the garden. 2. As the Bible says, "It is not good for man to be alone", he only ends up getting himself in trouble. And the NUMBER ONE reason... 1. When God finished the creation of Adam he stepped back, scratched his head and said, "I can do better than that."

ADVENTURES
DATE: 05/20/2007 / MOOD: in love

ADVENTURES The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams. Life was meant to be lived, and curiousity must be kept alive. It was a high counsel that I once heard given to a young person-"Always do what your afraid to do." Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead. Its choice- not chance- that determines your destiny. many blessings to you all,

DATE: 05/20/2007 / MOOD: in love

Hello my friends,(THANKS,PAUL) The Joyful Things At times I'm so discouraged with the problems of the day, I fail to see the joyful things that are along the way. When troubles overwhelm me it's then my nerves may fray. That's when I need to take the time To simply sit and pray. Reflecting on God's many gifts, it makes me so aware of all the joy in little things around me everywhere! I must try to remember though problems come my way, not to miss the joyful things and the beauty of the day. Many blessings to you

Cookies
DATE: 05/20/2007 / MOOD: in love

Hello my friends, THE COOKIES A woman was waiting at an airport one night, With several long hours before her flight. She hunted for a book in the airport shops, Bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop. She was engrossed in her book but happened to see, That the man sitting beside her, as bold as could be, Grabbed a cookie or two from the bag in between, Which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene. So she munched the cookies and watched the clock, As the gutsy cookie thief diminished her stock. She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by, Thinking, "If I wasn't so nice, I would blacken his eye." With each cookie she took, he took one too, When only one was left, she wondered what he would do. With a smile on his face, and a nervous laugh, He took the last cookie and broke it in half. He offered her half, as he ate the other, She snatched it from him and thought... oooh, brother. This guy has some nerve and he's also rude, Why he didn't even show any gratitude! She had never known when she had been so galled, And sighed with relief when her flight was called. She gathered her belongings and headed to the gate, Refusing to look back at the thieving ingrate. She boarded the plane, and sank in her seat, Then she sought her book, which was almost complete. As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise, There was her bag of cookies, in front of her eyes. If mine are here, she moaned in despair, The others were his, and he tried to share. Too late to apologize, she realized with grief, That she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief. How many times in our lives, have we absolutely known that something was a certain way, only to be wrong? Many blessings to you,

Respect
DATE: 05/20/2007 / MOOD: in love

Hello my friends, Gaining the respect of others When you think of success in your own life, you will find that it is closely tied to the respect you get from people that you respect. Almost everything you do is done or not done with a view toward how other people will think about you. Your concideration of the opinions of the important people in your world has a major effect on your behavior. Your reputation is your greatest asset, both in business life and in your personal relationships. Your reputation can best be defined as how people think about you and talk about you when you are not around.AS you know from your own experience, what ever people say about you has a positive or negitive impact on your thinking and your emotions when you learn about it. Successful people are always thinking about how a certain decision or behavior will be judged or evaluated by others. They are concerned not only about doing the right thing, but about doing what appears to be the right thing from the perspective of others, especially others whose opinion they care about about. The law of attraction is very powerful. You develope your character, as the result of living more and more by the highest and best virtues that you know. AS a result, you will inevitably attract into your life other men and women of quality and character as well. Like does attract like. Many blessings to you,
