Big Rig mileage performance

When I bought my sod business 12 years ago, a huge, 1990, 9-speed Kenworth T600 Semi tractor/trailer truck came along with it. Now, that truck's got over a million miles on it, the 335 hp Cummins Turbo Diesel engine's been rebuilt twice, and it was getting only around 4.2 mpg when I transported a typical 40-TON load of sod (rolled up grass). That's a load of up to 16 of the extremely heavy pallets you see pictured here next to my truck (each weighing up to 2.5 tons each, ending on the stack height and moisture content of the sod) . . .
After the very FIRST dose of 7 ounces of Ultimate ME² followed by 105 gallons of diesel (less than 1/2 a tank's worth), I was VERY pleased and excited to experience a hugh initial mileage increase to 6.9 mpg's as my rig only burned up about 86 gallons driving 600 miles doing sod deliveries in South Florida.
